Capri is one of the most popular Italian destinations for tourists coming from all over the world. This wonderful island is located in the Tyrrhenian Sea and is located in front of the Sorrento peninsula.
The steep cliffs that rise majestically, a blue sea of a thousand shades, a luxuriant vegetation: all these elements make it an idyllic island.
In addition to the classic things to see, Capri also allows you to follow some trekking routes to discover breathtaking landscapes that will remain etched in your mind.
Here are some paths where nature is the protagonist:
1. Walk of the Pizzolungo:
It is one of the most evocative walks of Capri, starting from a small road that can be reached from belvedere di Tragara and which runs along the entire terrace.
It is a journey that can be done both in summer and in winter: the landscape is always magical and rich in colors that vary according to the play of light.
The mountain you cross is rich in dense vegetation with myrtle, broom and agave plants and, along the way, you will walk about 775 alternating steps with flat stretches.
We reach Grotta di Matermania, a cavity that was transformed into a luxurious nymphaeum during the Roman era. From here continuing you get to the summit with the Arco Naturale.
The Natural Arch is a paleolithic sculpture, and it is what remains of a deep cavity that was initially underground but, after a landslide, came out into the open. From the semicircular split a breathtaking panorama is framed.
2.La Magliera:
La Magliera is located on the western tip of the island, precisely in Anacapri. It is one of the places less known by tourists, dominated by nature.
The route starts from the center of Anacapri and for 2 km winds through vineyards and cultivated fields, up to the spectacular terrace overlooking the sea: Belvedere del Tuono.
Continuing on the left you can reach another panoramic point: Faraglioni di Capri. There are three rock peaks that rise from the sea, each Faraglione has a name: Stella, Faraglione di Mezzo and Faraglione di Fuori.
Continuing the path you reach the highest peak of the island with an incredible view: Monte Solaro.
This point can also be reached by a chairlift that leaves from the center of Anacapri.
