You will visit Alghero, a small city of 40.000 inhabitants. Known also as “Barceloneta” (little Barcelona), the city has maintained the language, the habits, the costumes and the religious and popular traditions.
You will start with a walk through the characteristic cobblestone streets, and then you will go on with the secular walls. The city view seems built in order to highlight the hypnotic beauty of the limitless sea. Its towers, originally watchtowers, offer a view that gets endlessly lost on the blue board. You will walk through the village where the fishermen manually braid the nets. You will see the laboratory of the famous master artisans who transform the red or golden coral in jewels according to an ancient tradition that still feed the economy of the city.
After having admired it, you will proceed to sea. You will set sail for Capo di Caccia to see a wonder of nature: the Grotte of Nettuno, a cathedral of stalactites and stalagmites reflecting in a little salted lake. Even if you are speechless, you will still be able to express the desire to come back.
