Get into character and play the traditional Venetian: the gondolier!
You'll learn Venetian rowing, a technique handed down through the generations, keeping Venice and its lagoon mobile despite the narrow canals and shallow waters. Standing on the water with only one paddle, you'll discover a unique rowing style unlike any other. First, you'll test the hypothesis, as shown by studies, that a gondolier uses the same energy to transport three people plus the boat's half-ton weight as he would when walking. Over the course of two hours, you're bound to get into the swing of things and enjoy the waters of the lagoon and canals. Put your boating ability to the test and enjoy an experience that combines sport, culture, and fun.
At the end of the course, you'll have qualified for a ceremony where you'll be rewarded with a certificate - and a fun party in your honour!
