Your tour leader will greet you at the port and help you to your private water taxi. Speed over the waves to land at St. Mark’s square, the world's most beautiful square, where every corner has a story to tell. You'll continue your tour by visiting Doge Palace, the ancient residence of the Venetian dukes, the "Dogi", who were politicians and administrators at the heart of the thousand-year Serenissima Republic of Venice. Paintings by Veronese and Tintoretto, the Council Chamber, the Doge's apartments, the dungeon, and the famous Bridge of Sighs will be the backdrop to your tour. From here, you'll join your tour leader to cross the threshold of the St. Mark’s Basilica, the city's religious centre, bathing you in the dazzling light of its golden mosaics. Then, complete your tour by glancing into the city's shop windows. Don't worry about your shopping - your water taxi will wait for you to take you back to your boat.
