PISA AND THE LEANING TOWER

Important Notes:

• Entrance to churches requires a strict dress code: shoulders and knees MUST be covered for both men and women.
• There may be long queues to enter churches/monuments, especially during the summer months.
• Access to some churches might be unavailable because of ongoing religious functions on Sundays or during holidays. As we cannot predict these instances, Italian Mate will not provide refunds, or reductions. In this case you’ll receive detailed explanation of the church from the outside.
• Taking photos or recording videos may be prohibited or restricted in churches or museums at any time.
• Large handbags and liquid bottles may not be allowed inside churches/museums.
• Attractions may be visited in a different order, depending on traffic conditions and entrance queues.
• Time spent at each stop will be based on your interest and on the available time.
• For security reasons, entrance to the Tower is not permitted for children under 8 years old.
• To enter the Tower, children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. It is important to have with you your identification ID proving your age.
• To reach the top of the Tower, you must climb 251 steps.
• All visitors will be checked with a metal detector before entrance.
• This tour is not recommended for people with cardiovascular and mobility issues.
• The walking surface is uneven and can be slippery – please take caution.
• This tour has a maximum group size of 8 people.
